The Challenge

As disheartening as it is, the Veterans Administration has fallen short in providing help to our Veterans. Although there are a number of nationally prominent advocacy groups who are trying to help such as The Wounded Warriors, only 1% of the post 9-11 Veteran population fall into this group and they, like many other advocacy groups, do not supply direct services that help integrate our skilled and capable vets into civilian life.

The Solution

The answer to our regional dilemma can be found in StrongVet, a community-based collaborative of nonprofit organizations that has the programs and the immediate capacity to assist all Veterans to more easily integrate into our communities – moving from dependence to independence by leveraging the capacity of nonprofit organizations that can provide services now to address the immediate unmet needs of our veterans and thereby facilitating reconnection with their families and our communities.
